What's New in a.school? Custom Login URLs, Copy Classes, and Class Statuses.

After shaking off last year’s dust from our boots, we’ve had our heads down developing and implementing a number of exciting features to help your school run smoothly and further enhance the a.school experience.

Custom login URLs

When logging in, new users usually have to head to the launchpad before they’re able to access their school. With custom login URLs, it’s now possible to create a customized login URL that allows users to log in directly to a school’s dashboard. This URL can also be very easily shared, allowing for faster, broader access to lessons.

Copy classes

Designing every class from the ground up can be time-consuming, especially once you have the curriculum and other settings down pat. With the copy classes feature, you can save time by quickly and easily copying existing classes, choosing what elements you would like to transfer to the new class. Time that would be otherwise spent creating new classes from scratch can now be directed towards your students.

Class statuses

Sometimes you may need to restrict access to a class or piece of content. To facilitate this, we introduced class statuses that can be set to either “Active” or “Read Only”, allowing participation in a class or disabling access altogether. Now, once a class has run its course, you can put a pin in it so that students can still access and read class content without deleting the class entirely.

We’re confident that the deployment of these features will help save time and enhance workflows. We’ve also got some more really useful features in the pipeline that we can’t wait to share. Until then, please get in touch if you have any questions at hello@a.school, and we’ll do our best to help.
