What is a Class?

Classes are created from the class management page. Here you can set educational content, determine fees, assign instructors, post entries, enroll students, and schedule dates. Classes can be scheduled from a course, or they can be created from scratch.

Creating a Class

You can create a class by navigating to Manage > Classes from the side or quick navigation, clicking on the plus icon in the upper right corner, and then selecting “Add Class”.

Once you’ve created a class, you can then add more detail by selecting the various tabs within that class – Lessons, Entries, Rosters, Instructors etc. You can read more about the various elements of a class here.

Scheduling a Class from an Existing Course

If you have created a course, you use it to schedule one or more classes. If you decide to schedule a class from a course, it will inherit all of the same information as that course. Scheduling classes in this way saves you time by preventing you from having to create a new class from scratch every time you need one.

To schedule a class from a course, head to Manage > Courses > Select Existing Course > Classes tab. Next, click “Add Class”, create a class code and determine the capacity of the class, then “Add Class.” The class created will now exist as an iteration of the course and contain all of its information, but it can still be edited and managed accordingly.

Once you’ve scheduled a class in this way, you can view and manage it by heading to Manage > Classes, just as you would with independent classes.
