What’s New in a.school? Guardian Directory.

When families join your school, connection often happens by chance. They might meet at pickup, chat during events, or recognize a familiar face in passing, but there hasn’t been a simple way to see who else is part of their community or what they might have in common.

That’s why we built the guardian directory, an opt-in space where families can get to know one another, all while staying in full control of what they share.

An Easy Way for Parents to Connect

The guardian directory turns your parent community into a discoverable, interest-based network, and your staff get a front-row seat without any of the matchmaking.

  • Strengthen connections between families who share studios, so community builds itself beyond pickup and events.
  • Protect privacy by design: the directory is opt-in, school-limited, and never exposes email, phone, or addresses.
  • Surface natural connections automatically, with shared interests, starred so families spot common ground fast.
  • Champion the experience with a read-only, school-wide preview of exactly what families see.

Families browse other guardians as cards or a table, search by name, profession, or interest, and stack filters like Mentoring or Coffee Chats. Each guardian manages their own profile and can leave or rejoin anytime with a single toggle.

Your staff see the whole school-wide view at Guardians → Directory, but can’t edit or change anyone’s visibility. The directory stays owned by the families themselves.
