How Do Periods Work?
Periods are blocks of time around which you schedule classes. Without periods, you won’t be able to create classes.
The role of periods is mostly organizational, but they do have an effect on certain administrative tasks such as rolling classes from one period to the next, and running reports.
The length of a period is completely up to the school creating it. Some schools may need a period for an entire year, whereas others may need semester-, term-, or quarter-length periods.
Here’s how you create a period:
- Using the sidebar navigation, head to School then Details
- Select Periods from the top navigation
- Click Add Period
- Choose the fiscal year that the period falls under, add a period code, then select the start and end dates.
- Once you’re happy with your selection, click Add Period
